Erectile dysfunction medicines seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been seized by Department of Health authorities during a search of a home in Glengormley.
A man was spoken with by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications by means of the internet.
The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medicine offences.
He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution .
The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: "It is vital that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be unsafe.
"These kinds of products being sold, typically online, have actually gone through no quality control and there can be no assurance about their safety.
"You merely do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not understand the impact drugs like this might have on your health."
